|Winter Battle at Billie Creek
Co A 14th IND. INF (Vol.) has a very active civilian camp. At smaller events the civilian camps are within a short distance of the military camps. At national events the civilian camps can be over a mile from the military camps.
Civilian activities can include presentations on lifestyle, quilting bees, teas, shopping, singing, playing period instruments and the ball. The ball is period music and dances. It allows the young ladies to dress up and go courting. During the winter months there are several formal balls thorough out the state. Period dress, food and music make these a great opportunity.
Younger children can always find someone to play Union and Rebels
